Mysteriam

Mysteriam plays Hi-Tech Rock, and has been compared to Radiohead, Beck, Ben Folds Five, Steely Dan, and Future Sound of London.  Always aiming to arrest the audience by being both danceable and unpredictable, the group also brings profound feeling in their finely crafted music.  The shows' atmospheres are thrillingly enhanced with onstage video and theatrical elements.

The group is led by Corbett Lunsford, a graduate of Berklee College of Music whose work has been commissioned by dance and theatre companies across North America.  Lunsford is joined by Grace McPhillips, who provides endless supplies of harmonies and bizarrely captivating visual entertainment, and a host of masterful players providing a variety of atmospheres in performance.

Video artist Sharon Lomasney, an inventive and energetic onstage collaborator, provides live visuals.  The group is also often graced by guest appearances from other Mysteriam members such as the ManMan, aka Lennie Johnson, a famed Viennese performance artist and songstress.

Since 2005, Mysteriam (the entire scope of which has involved 30+ artists) has been incredibly busy with international collaborations, the release of an experimental music video series, the production and editing of a grant-funded 10-hour improvised recording session, a tour in Thailand recording audio and video material, and supporting the work of the individual creators, many of whom are full-time artists.  The group is promoting its new albums, "Entryway," a complex layering of pop and electronic elements, and "A Choir of Spirited Distraction", a distillation of hip catchiness in 16 anthems for the technology age.

The group began touring regionally and nationally in 2007, presenting a thrilling fusion of catchy chaos and electronic components and processes.
