Morgan Lovelace America's Sweete

In more ways than one, Morgan Lovelace flip the script on the meaning on being a renaissance “woman”, she is a singer-songwriter and she did not there she learn how to engineer in Protools and has produced a lot of songs for friends.

When she was eight, she wrote her first song entitled "My Ocean" after finding a gift that her sister gave to her boyfriend. "I originally just wanted to write a jingle because my dad was talking about it. I remember always wanting to sing but I wrote a lot and read a lot of poetry, and that’s how I knew I wanted to become a songwriter too," she remembered. "I haven't stopped writing songs since."

Growing up in Mays Landing, New Jersey in a close family, Morgan's natural music ability was control to her passionate personality. “I begged my mother to let me sing.” At Morgan’s church in her children’s choir she would out sing everybody. Knowing people who talk about her behind her back, she developed a very passionate personality. Every Sunday she would rock the church, not caring what anyone would think. And she has been doing shows since, and always knew she wanted to be a singer.

Soon Morgan develops a love for rock music when first started listening to No Doubt and Blink 182. “I mean I was only 9 when I first started listening to rock my older sister Kristina got me into it, on Saturday after cleaning the house we would watch Daria on MTV and the at night I would dance in her room to a variety of music from Bush’s “Glycerin” to Aaliyah’s “If you’re girl only knew” to Blink 182 “What’s my age again?” I even broke my toe when I dancing in her room I think it was to Jay-Z “What What”

Soon Morgan wanted to improve her singing by picking up the guitar and sing acoustic rock. She put her first original song “Hard to Say” on her my space account (www.myspace.com/morganlovelace), somehow a lot of people saw her song and put it as there account song. “I remember everybody coming up to me and saying how much they love my song and they would try to sing the lyrics too. I loved it, so I went to go write some more songs I started to only think about my song.” Stated Morgan “Then for some odd reason (because my life is odd) I thought I wanted to make my album like a musical of my life and I wanted it to be called the broken hearted chronicles of..., it’s a story about my life and how bizarre this world is. That all I thought about, and when I got in the studio that is all I would make the story of my life real” A lot of Morgan’s songs have really happened to her like the song “Time”—“Time is about, how I fell in love with a guy and I want to go out with him but my timing was horrible and I would not go out with the guy I liked.” Some of Morgan’s influences are TLC, Nirvana, Alice Cooper, Joan Jett and the Blackhearts. “I like the fact that they are edgy and not all the same and like everybody else.”

Morgan has performed with many people like Michael Crawford and at places like Carnegie hall “I felt like doing those performances made me fell like I graduated the high school of singing and know I want to go to the college of professional singing.”
