Monkeybird is a Norwegian indie/folk-rock duo helmed by singer/songwriter (and Polarfox Records founder) Dan Slettevolden along with his longtime creative cohort Paal André Brekkaas.

Drawing from a wide range of influences, including songwriting greats such as Neil Young, Sparklehorse, Fleetwood Mac and Tobben & Ero (the Norwegian equivalent of Simon & Garfunkel), Monkeybird serves up an appealing blend of pop, rock, blues, psychedelic rock and jangly lo-fi pop, with a sprinkling of country and folk thrown in for good measure.
