As a composer, musician, and producer, Mona's work ranges from electronica to orchestral music.
From electronic dance tracks, a la Chemical Brothers & Moby, to soft, pensive film compostions inspired by love, dreams and death, there is something for everyone in her catalogue.
Mona's professional credits include: opening for the Beach Boys, The Ramones, Joe Walsh, The Godz and Nick Lowe. Producing: Cellist Kirsten Vogelsang, Guitarist Tony Cultreri, the bands, "Chimera Effect", and "No Such Luck," as well as radio Promos for guitarist/composer Joe Satriani. Indie Films include: WaveDancers II: The Women who Surf (featured at the 1999 gay & lesbian film festival, "Outfest"), "Love Notes" (Margaux Hemingway's final film), and "Trouble Comes Twice." Via the Abaco Music Library, Mona has been heard in advertising spots all around the globe.

If you like strong beats, lush strings, weird guitar synth, ebow and an array of strange vocal work, you just have to listen Mona Gable!

Bio

Born and raised in New York City, Mona began playing guitar at age 7 and started playing in bands by age 14.

Over the years she has opened for and performed with many notables such as Joe Walsh, Timothy B. Schmit (of The Eagles), Night Ranger, The Fixx, The Godz, The Ramones, Siouxsie and the Banshees, and Nick Lowe.

As a member of Memory Age, the experimental duo with partner Tony Cultreri (brother of Cliff Cultreri, former guitarist of Bill Laswell's "Material"), she became producer as well as artist.

Their progressive, uniquely arranged compositions which blended voice, electronic and acoustic instruments, had earned them an impressive fan base, and the accolades of Steve Vai, David Byrne (The Talking Heads), Joe Satriani, Allan Holdsworth and many other influential artists.

It was this experimentation that sparked the overwelming interest in the recording medium itself, and gave rise to Mona becoming a full time solo musician, composer and producer.

For the last several years, Mona has owned "Slice A Pie Productions," where she produces custom score to picture and underscoring, sound designing, needle drop, advertising and gaming music. In addition to what releases under the "Slice A Pie" umbrella, she also records for the Abaco and ProMusic libraries.
