Mitchelle Tanner sang before she learned to speak and hasn't stopped since. With musical roots steeped in the rich soil of inspired classic songwriters like Van Morrison, Fleetweed Mac, & Patti Smith, Mitchelle is a powerful voice in the SF Bay Area indie music scene, with a sound and body of work that creates a buzz everywhere she plays. In 2000, she released her first full-length CD of original material, “Dawn of the Night Flyers,” chosen by Performing Songwriter Magazine as a top ten DIY and praised as "... a song cycle that uplifts the spirit at every turn."

Her sophomore CD, The Dark Horse Sessions, featuring the 2006 Unisong Songwriting Contest Artist & Song Category winner, "Dim the Lights," is now available. Dim the Lights also appears on the (a href="http://www.rockinmoms.com">Rockin' Moms Premier CD Compilation.
