Bio

Michael grew up in Colorado, playing gigs at age 15. He put himself through college playing guitar and singing solo and with a band. Michael went to Europe to perform, ski, and study. He ended up spending two years there and played more than 200 solo gigs.

After Europe, Michael moved to New York and continued to write music on the planes and between the meetings that were part of his investment banking career. He loved the creative energy as well as the interactions with people that investment banking provided. Later he founded and sold control of a company that created a new financial services market and received national attention from such media outlets as Time magazine, BusinessWeek, Fox News, and MSN.

In 2004 Michael began working on his first CD, entitled Divine Accidents and Untold stories. The CD is comprised of 11 songs written in 2004 – 2006 and features Scotty Manzo on bass (Three Dog Night and other artists), Chet McCracken on drums (Doobie Brothers, Joe Walsh, and other artists), Jimmy Greenspoon on piano (Three Dog Night), Chris Pinnick, lead guitar (Chicago and other artists). and Doug Livingston (Loggins and Messina, Randy Newman, other artists) on Pedal Steel. The CD was produced by Scotty and Michael and was mastered by Brian Lipski at SoundLab.

Michael lives in Fairfield county, CT with his wife and five children (they have a blended family). For fun they climb mountains and rocks, ski deep powder and windsurf. Michael is hoping that Divine Accidents and Untold Stories will strike a chord with people who enjoy acoustic rock in the vein of Amos Lee, Don Henley, Kenny Loggins and John Mayer.
