Im 19 year old Michael Hyman from London, England. I have been playing the piano since i was 7, and though I was brought up classically, I wandered, to popular music, blues and rock . When I was 14 I took up the guitar, and have been writing songs ever since.
At the age of 16, myself (lead vocals and bass) and 3 friends, formed a band which was to enjoy major local success. A day’s worth of recording at a professional studio enabled us to record a demo CD which kick started our gigging career around London. Our most successful gig was at ‘The Standard music venue’, where 200 hundred loyal fans, plus many others who were there, enjoyed our set. The band split up in 2003, as we left school.
Ever since, I have been working on solo material, gradually writing an album’s worth of material that is now complete. I currently play open mic sessions in London, plus in restaurants and bars. The songs have a lighter rock feel to them with heavy blues influences.

Bio

My name is Michael Hyman and I’m 19 years old from London, England. I thought I’d write a short biography for broadjam. I have been playing the piano for longer than I care to remember, and though I was brought up classically, my musical thoughts wandered, as I grew older, to popular music, blues and rock. When I was fourteen I took up the guitar, and have been writing songs ever since.
At the age of 16, myself (lead vocals and bass guitar) and three friends, formed a band called Peroxide Dyed which was to enjoy major local success. After organising many rock concerts and battle of the bands competitions at school, we entered a regional song writing competition, going on to win first prize with a song that I wrote. The prize was a day’s worth of recording at a professional studio, and this enabled us to record a demo CD which kick started our gigging career around London. Our most successful gig was at ‘The Standard music venue’ in Walthamstow, where almost 200 hundred of our loyal fans, plus many others who were there with other bands, enjoyed our 45 minute set, in the summer of 2002. The band unfortunately split up in 2003, as we left school and went our separate ways.
Ever since, I have been working on solo material, gradually writing an album’s worth of material that is now complete. I currently play open mic sessions throughout London, plus in restaurants and bars, both covers and original tracks. The local fanbase from my old
