Melanie Joy has been called the love-child of Brian Wilson and Kate Bush, and it’s no wonder: her songs unfold with quirky tales, eloquent metaphors, and intimate lyrics – but melody is still king to this singer-songwriter and pianist.
Melanie’s new album “Magic” which has been garnering serious attention, features an impressive line-up of talent that have worked with some of the country’s greatest performers including Jann Arden, Chantal Kreviazuk, and Nelly Furtado.
The “Magic” album landed Melanie a management deal with Music Mentor Productions and a national distribution deal with Bullseye Records. Bullseye distributes through Fusion 3 (Canada), Burnside (US), and Revolver/Universal (UK).
Her first single “Falling In” is hitting radio stations nationwide and Melanie will be heading west this summer for a promotional tour. The album “Magic” is in stores across Canada now, so if you like what you hear, look for it at your local HMV or Sunrise.
