Born and raised in Indianapolis Indiana, Matt Walker began writing music on an old piano when he was only 10 years old. At the age of 14 he and his brother got some friends together to form their first band which developed quite a following, playing several large venues with national acts.
With several recordings under his belt, including collaborations and producing experience with platinum selling artists Matt and another member of his band decided to venture into music writing and began writing, recording and performing songs under the name “Edinburgh”. Edinburgh’s success led to the band being included in a spot on the Vans Warped Tour while Edinburgh’s hit single “Bender’s Gonna Be a Star” went to #1 on the overall charts on MP3.com for over 2 weeks straight.
As a musician and songwriter, Matt Walker is known for his ability to cross-genres while producing pure and genuine music that bleeds of his passion for his work. Recently he created the band Malea and is in the process of recording recently written songs with this band.
