Matt Miller is a composer and sound designer whose compositions, ranging from genre-bending, cross-cultural pop, to what might best be described as organized noise, have been heard on TV across the globe. Matt is a co-conspirator in the worldinfusedglitchcoretrancemetal duo Traumedy as well as an experimental, improvisational duo known as M i M o. He also works closely with singer/songwriter Cathy Miller (who also happens to be his wife). Matt is an avid field recordist, and can almost always be found with a portable recording device close by. He has travelled extensively throughout Morocco to document the country’s rich traditional music, and he maintains a website, www.moroccanmusic.com, which features some of the recordings he’s made.
