"I had older siblings in my house, and there were lots of records and tapes around. For the first eighteen years of my life all I did was listen," says New York City based singer/songwriter M. A. ROSE. Once I picked up the guitar, all I did was play. And write."

Starting out in coffee houses and clubs in Boston, where Rose attended Emerson College,
he made his way back to New York after writing and performing for two years in London and subsequently founded the band "Another Story," who played to sold our crowds all over Manhattan.

After the band disbanded, Rose made a very major, but natural career transition when he was offered an opportunity to become a development executive at VH1, where he developed and supervised such hit shows as "The List." It was at VH1 where Rose met Bob Johnston, the legendary record producer (Bob Dylan, Paul Simon, Johnny Cash, Leonard Cohen) who after hearing a collection of Rose?s acoustic demos exclaimed, "You gotta go make a fuckin? record kid!" That was all Rose had to hear.

Weeks later, production on M.A. Rose?s eclectic self-titled debut began.
