The group started in the City of Milwaukee, Wisconsin over 20 years ago. The group's unique sound reflects the musical talents of a lady and four guys from this ethnically diverse city, whose musical orientations mix Jazz, Blues, Funk, Rock and the 'laid back' styles into an intriguing range. Recently, The TKO Band released their first cover CD rounded out in the true TKO style that they are known for. This CD was recorded LIVE at SUMMERFEST in Milwaukee, Wisconsin during a performance there in 2001.

This group has over 150 years of collective musical experience. With over 20 years of performing at Summerfest, Muscular Dystrophy fund raisers, Cystic Fibrosis fund raisers, Riverfest, African World Festival, The Grand Ole Opry, The Ryman Auditorium and various clubs in the Wisconsin and Illinois areas the "Lil' Mel & The TKO Band" offers the diversity that every generation is looking for.
