Beginnings
After attending a Michael Buble' concert at 10 years old, Lili Kendall had seen enough to know that music was going to be the driving force behind her life and the road to her future. She began writing songs at age 11 and quickly began gaining the attention of fellow music makers. Her vocal teacher, upon hearing the young artist croon with such soulful tone and vibrato, asked her how she learned to do that with her voice? Lili replied,"Do what with my voice?"
After a few years refining her vocal and songwriting abilities, she as arrived at the "Beginnings," the title of her first major release. Lili made a trip to LA during the summer of 2012 to do a live interview on Roshada Powell's "Get In if You Fit In" radio station, and was referred to an up and coming LA producer/songwriter named Jeffrey Joslin. The two instantly hit it off creatively and crafted four songs in two days. Little did they know this would be the "beginning" of a musical vision that would be her latest six-song EP. The two recorded the tracks between LA and Brisbane, Australia, Lili's hometown and the release is scheduled for February of 2013.
In her voice you can hear traces of Adele, Alicia Keys, and Kimbra, but Lili Kendall definitely has a fingerprint of her own. Her songs seem to come from a life lived many times before this one as she possesses a wisdom beyond her years. "Beginnings" moves from relationships to inner struggle to the perceptions of a young woman trying to find her place in this world. Lili Kendall sings her story, inviting you to experience the "beginnings" of a musical career that's certain to last for many more lifetimes.
