As the 20th century crashed into the 21st, Trey Schultz cut his live perfomance teeth behind a guitar in Portland, OR punk and powerpop bands AltarBoy and iknowkungfu. After gaining a reputation for aggressive playing and a strong stage presence, he put down the guitar and picked up a keyboard and software. Channeling the energy that used to drive a bouncing punk axe-monkey into electonica may not sound like an easy job, and it wasnt. But the job demanded doing, and thus Lazy Blaze came to be.

Trapping influences of Crystal Method, Amon Tobin, Lee "Scratch" Perry, DJ Shadow, Trent Reznor and Unkle in a jar and placing it on a windowsill overnight, Lazy Blaze cultures electronica, ambient, dance, and dub from what grows on the bottom. Open dreamy sound vistas, tight drum driven grinds, stalking menace bass lines and creepy tweaked organ runs all share the same chances of emerging from this process. Lazy Blaze collects as they grow, serving a balanced diet, doing your headphones good.
