Lawton Chiles has been performing and writing music for almost 8 years. He even had the chance to compose and perform "Walking Man" at Governor Lawton Chiles Memorial Serivce, attended by President Clinton and the First Lady Hilary Clinton. Lawton has a sharp wit and touching lyrics to boot. The music industry needs his kind of honesty and his compelling brand of storytelling.

Lawton grew up in Tallahassee, Florida but was raised primarily in the New York area. Living in the cultural center of the world exposed Lawton to many different artists, including U2, Sting, and Bruce Springsteen, among others. These performers and writers had a profound affect on him, when at the age of 16, he started writing songs and taking guitar lessons. Lawton's songs are folk-rock based, and they mix pop hooks with honest storytelling. He currently resides in Tallahassee, Florida.
