LaMoor started in a home recording studio in San Diego. Guitarist/Lead Singer Steve Davis wrote, composed and recorded the instrument parts for their first album These Present Sufferings. He worked with several musicians without success until he found Sean, LaMoor's Drummer. He worked with Sean to compose some new songs and a new form of Industrial Metal. Justin quit another band to join LaMoor soon after. Steve later joined forces with Sonny, LaMoor's Synth player through mutual friends. LaMoor met with Charlie, LaMoor's Lead Guitarist, at Denny's after a show. The band loved her style, personality and musical influence so much that they hired her on the spot. Since then, LaMoor has been working on a full length album and has been touring the San Diego Area.
LaMoor has sought to create a form of music that provokes thought and emotion though the combination of many styles of music. Steve comes from a classically trained family with expose to many forms of jazz, rock, Industrial Metal and generally melodic music. Sean brings a heaver overtone to the band which drives the Metal end and gives LaMoor a harder edge. Sonny's hip hop and Industrial driven sound has given LaMoor everything it was missing. Justin adds a new metal tone to the mix that drives the sound into heavier Kornish/Toolsih riffs. Charlie gives the band the second layer of support that is not only melodic and heavy but also beautifully sonic. Together this sound captures a wave of metal that ha
