Kelley Dolan has been playing music since the age of 7, and performing publicly since she was 10. She is trained as a vocalist, clarinetist, and pianist, and has been writing songs for 8 years. Kelley was awarded full scholarships to the Peabody Conservatory of Music, where she received the William & Martha Bill Award for Outstanding Performance, the St. Louis Conservatory of Music, and the Aspen Music Festival. She also attended the Master of Music program at Northwestern University. Her self-engineered/produced recordings include "Bedtime Story...a postmodern nightmare", an avant-garde, post-classical take on popular songwriting; “Beautiful Inventions”, a solo vocal/piano album of impressionistic folk songs; “Let it Snow”, a collection of traditional and modern Christmas songs; and “At the Still Point of the Turning World”, a 2-song EP featuring a moving, world-music inspired rendition of John Lennon’s “Imagine”. Kelley is a 2002 B.E.A.M. grant recipient.
