Kalewa pronounced (Kah.le.vah), is largely self taught musician who began playing guitar at the early age of 13. He is multi-instrumentalist who crosses genera's and meridians. He composes, writes, plays, and records all of his music. Influenced by artists ranging from SRV and Portishead to Robert Rich and Bob Marley. Kalewa has honed his musicality by playing and touring with indie bands from Missing Delilah to Lo-Vibe. As lead singer and guitar player of Missing Delilah, the band garnered western regional acclaim with their debut release entitled "Respect". After a short hiatus, Kalewa went on to assist on a number of albums in Hollywood and Hawai'i, with credits ranging from Sepultura to Namie Amuro's multi-platinum album "Kiss and Ride". Currently he is putting the finishing touches on his first solo effort which promises to to stir the emotions and provoke reflection.
