"Junta is music" and that is meant in every sense of the word. Using harmonies and melodies while still being one of the heaviest, darkest, and technical bands you will ever hear is something unheard of. They also still like to keep you guessing as they are progressive in every sense of that word as well. This music may not always be the easy crunchy stuff you may hear at a frat party or on the radio, but this music is true music that can not and will not be ignored. To sum the music up in a way for a person who has yet to hear it is a tough job. The best way it can be put is "that this band writes music like no one ever has", mixing elements of Yes, Death, Metallica, Mastodon, and elements that are completely original. So it's hard to simply just call it "progressive metal" and brand them with that. This band bends its genre and does so with a touch of perfection.
