Julia finished her studies in jazz in 1998 at Prayner Conservatory in Vienna. After attending a songwriting workshop with Nick Cave at the Vienna Poetry School, she started up her own band, The Streakers. She has played regularly in Vienna and is working on her debut album. The song "Hot For You" was a runner-up in the Viennese "Project-Pop" competition and is featured on the Project-Pop compilation CD.
