John Rewind

ohn Rewind was born in Kansas City, Missouri and relocated to San Francisco, California in 1967 during The Summer of Love. He was the lead guitarist for MARBLE FARM until he met Joe Crane from Conroe,Texas. Joe had played bass for Johnny and Edgar Winter while in high school in Beaumont, Texas. John and Joe's mutual passion for Blues and R&B lead them to form the HOODOO RHYTHM DEVILS in the early '70's. The Hoodoos went on to do many national tours with The Doobie Bros, Steeley Dan, Savoy Brown, Mott the Hoople, and Chuck Berry. They had some of their songs covered by Johnny Winter, The Chambers Bros, and Patti LaBelle. They backed up the Pointer Sisters on "Wang Dang Doodle" on the Pointer's first album, and even were the session band for a Link Wray album. After Joe Crane passed away, John went on to write songs that were recorded by Joe Louis Walker and Blue Cheer and to produce and record numerous cds by Davey Pattison, Holly Stanton, The Dynatones, The Beautiful Losers, Bobby Black, Mark Bryson, Bruce Stephens,Thumb Club, Karmakazees, Ukebox, The Luddites, Digital Citizen, Lezlee Livrano, and Georgia Whiting, many of which are available on CD BABY .
