Jess Day & Band

Jess Day and band were formed by front person Jess Day, she has supported the likes of Eskimo Joe, The Whitlams & Hoo Doo Gurus - popular Australian bands. The EP has never been officially released but has achieved some success with the major one being the Scandavian Challenge with Baltic Records in Europe with whom Jess has now signed a Recording and Publishing Agreement. The 12 album tracks have now been mixed and have been mastered by George Marino from Sterling Studios in New York, but hopefully will be released early this year. The work on my debut album produced by Jesper Mejlvang of Baltic Recording is exceptional and I am extremely excited to have this opportunity.

Other achievements from the EP are listed below:-
"Helpless" came 3rd in the Musicoz Awards in the Rock Division and "Under my Skin" came 14th. Also the title track of the EP "Thanx 4 Nuthin" came 4th in the Qld Q Music Awards in the Pop Division. "Helpless" was judged as a Top 20 Finalist in the Rock Category of the 11th Annual "Unisong" International Song Contest and "Haunting Me" has been picked up by TWI and has been played on Alexa Digital Radio. "Helpless" has been selected for Violet Femmes Compilation CD in Canada which has now been released. "Open Your Eyes" has just been accepted for use by Octobertunes Music Licensing for TV etc. The EP was placed on high rotation in New Zealand on "The Rock" Radio Station, and "Helpless" is the Song of the Month on Matt O'Connors A & R "thesongdoctor.com.au" I have also won a mentorship through Oaklands Records "Tommy Held" in New York and he will be advising me on my career which has been fantastic.
"Helpless" is also on the Dispora for Africa compilation CD released soon. Due to recording my debut album I have had to decline a number of international showcase and festival offers over the past few months. We are back rehearsing hard and looking forward to gigging lots everywhere.
