Jessica Drake,18, Charlotte, NC. She has been writing since she was 12, and playing guitar since 14. Unable to find people her age who shared her drive for musical success, she realized it was crucial to learn as many instruments as possible to create well-rounded demos and CDs. So she began recording and mixing her own material at age 16, which would later inspire her to dream of becoming a musical producer as well as a performer. She attends open mics in the Charlotte area, and was a featured artist at The American Heart Association walk event. At school, Jessica performed the National Anthem at various sports events. In her free time, Jessica raised money for her home studio by promoting her own local band concerts at a hometown skate park. After much success, She was able to invest her money in recording equipment and additional musical instruments. In addition to writing, singing, and playing guitar, piano, and bass, she took drum lessons and learned about the recording process.
