Jeff Byrd is a veteran of the Austin and New York City music scenes. A founding member of Bluecanoe (alt rock) and Stupid (neo-punk), Byrd’s skills as a multi-instrumentalist and singer are frequently on display in such venues as New York’s CBGB’s, the Knitting Factory, Continental Club, Luna Lounge and Hard Rock Café. He’s played just about every club on Austin’s Sixth Street and has been featured in The Austin Chronicle and The Village Voice.

Author and producer of a large body of master quality original work, all 100% rights owned, Byrd mines the progressive alt rock and pop vein with fresh yet familiar hooks and grooves in a wide emotional range.

In addition to helming albums for Bluecanoe, Stupid and his solo project BugFights, Byrd has co-written, co-produced and engineered several packages of on-air promos for MTV Networks’ Spike TV, VH1 and Nickelodeon. He also has the distinction of co-producing a track for the “Jimmy Neutron” soundtrack on Jive and Nick Records.
