Black Monolith label solo artist, Hella “Snoopy” Brown hails from out of the Dirty South. When he rhymes, Hella drops words about the real scene in his countrified South Carolina past, and the hard knock Atlanta street life. This 18-year old rapper explains that his words talk of the life that has made him “grow up real fast and that I think of myself as an older person ten years ahead because of how real it has been for me and what I came from.”

Born and reared in Buford Island, South Carolina in the Gullah culture, a place while countrified and remote, had its own dealing scene going on. Hella’s family had to “trap” that is deal drugs out of mobile homes in the Miami to South Carolina trafficking runs for survival. After drug running from age of thirteen in the “hellified” world of small town gangs and dealing, Hella moved to Atlanta to focus on making it by producing with his own rhymes and beats. He then hooked up with local crime and rhyme affiliate Money Marc. His day came sooner than expected when Money Marc introduced him to Black Monolith Records CEO Alfred “Don Laze” Ponder. Hella then joined forces with Ponder to produce the album HELLAFIED which includes the hot club banger, “When Them Playboyz Ride” featuring Pastor Troy and Duece Poppi. As Hella states “My debut album ‘Hellafied’ comes off like a street survival manual.
