From Swinger To Songwriter

HB Radke as been in the music business since birth. The son of Harry James Orchestra frontman Fred Radke, and legendary singer Gina Funes, HB was steeped in the classic music of the great American Songbook.

He started writing songs in earnest in his teens and did some pop music production work through his twenties and early thirties. He focused much of his energy of leading his popular Seattle area band the Jet City Swingers with a voice that has been likened to Frank Sinatra.

The economic downturn of 2010 hit the band business hard. HB in order to stay positive and feel productive resolved on 12/31/2011 to write, record, and post at least one original song a week. All genres and subject matter. This is a practice he has continued into 2012. Since 1/1/2011 HB was penned over 75 songs in virtually every style of popular music from Europop to Zydeco.
