Biography

Meganne Stepka (singer/songwriter) and Michael Roberts (guitarist, songwriter) met in a coffee shop a few years back and ever since sweet sounds have been brewing the flavor that has become Glass Audrey. With influences ranging from Ray Charles to Madonna to The Red Hot Chili Peppers, it's Glass Audrey's alternative rock roots that swirl together sounds reminiscent of Pearl Jam, Sarah McLachlan, and Natalie Merchant.

Glass Audrey's first self-titled EP, available on Snocap and coming soon to itunes, displays the energy and grace of acoustic songwriting fused into rock and roll form. The debut EP was completely produced by Glass Audrey in their home studio using Cakewalk in fall 2007. The song "My Daisy" caught the ear of the Marketing Director for Cakewalk, who selected the song to be broadcast from NAMM and heard and critiqued by a panel consisting of leading Producers, Engineers, and Arrangers featured at Winter NAMM 2008. The Glass Audrey EP is also available in the Cleveland area at The Exchange in Lakewood and North Olmsted as well as Stone Creek Boutique in Columbia Station (for only $5).

They have played venues as a full rock band, as an acoustic duo, and Meganne has performed dozens of solo acoustic shows. Michael not only plays guitar but also is responsible for the rhythm section on the EP and the album artwork. Meganne is a recent graduate of Baldwin-Wallace with a degree in sociology. Since graduation Dec 07, Meganne has been playing any open-mic she can find (from Lakewood to Grafton), giving away promotional cd's, stickers, and business cards, scheduling a Cleveland area tour for April and May, and has performed original songs in a locally produced short film.

Glass Audrey's new album (untitled) is planned for a summer 2008 release on itunes and in music stores. This will be the band's first studio album.
