Pop artist Gary Tyrone Johnson is a singer, dancer, actor and model whom hails from Los Angeles. He grew up in a somewhat difficult home with a hard working entrepreneur, alcoholic father and an equally ambitious mother struggling to raise four children. By the age of 6, Gary discovered he had a voice to sing. Despite their complicated situation, Gary's mother would sing to him and encouraged him to learn the piano, while his father would keep him up late in the evenings to sing around their living room piano with his older siblings. By the age of 14, Gary started taking formal piano lessons and started writing, composing and performing original material and was performing in nightclubs before he finished high school.

"I would often imitate my father who was a bass vocalist. Though he never made the big time as a singer.
