Currently, I compose and produce symphonic and alternative cues for several of the major music libraries catering to film and television placements - trailers, commercials and television shows. Recently, I went full time into this field and have been having a blast doing it. My evolving website: www.soaringmusic.com

About Frederick Russ

I've been writing orchestral music since the early 90s, and have been involved in music since age 11. I've written the music for The Terminatorette (2004) and some cues in Fear of Clowns (2005). I built a world-class authoring studio for orchestral composition featuring a custom orchestral sample library containing some of the most realistic instruments available anywhere. I use Equal Interval System (EIS) techniques as taught by Lyle "Spud" Murphy and continue to study the method with a private teacher while concurrently working on orchestration and arrangements.

I am a regular contributor for Virtual Instruments Magazine and have my own column there called "Midi Mockup Microscope" which examines virtual instruments composer mockups and unlocks the secrets to ultra-realistic cues. I also created and manage VI Control Forum - one of the largest online resource forums for virtual instrument composers: http://www.vi-control.net/forum
