Full Bio

Jeannie Novak is a singer, pianist, songwriter, composer, and performer based in Santa Monica, California.

Growing up in San Diego, she taught herself to read music at the age of 5 and began to take piano lessons at age 8. Her professional music career started at age 12 - when she began performing and composing for local theatre productions and working as a studio musician.

In January 1994, Jeannie co-founded Indiespace--the first web-based company to sell a CD online. She is also co-founder of Novy Unlimited, a creative firm focusing on games and entertainment-with a record label and music division that handles audio production and music publishing.

Current music projects include SHELTER, AFTERGLOW, DJINN, and OUT OF TIME (collections of original vocal/piano songs ranging from alt-rock, folk and jazz to retro and pop) and MAGIC HOUR, SNOW, and COVER ME (upcoming nostalgic covers). She has also released MOONRISE (live vocal/piano songs accompanied by original photography), SYNCH (piano improvisations combined with historical public domain footage), REIGN OF FIRE (16 original cinematic classical pieces for solo piano), and HORRORSHOW (88 synth, piano and ambient tracks with a horror edge).
