Martin Winch is one of New Zealand's most well-known and respected guitarist, he has reached No.1 with his 1997 album "Espresso Guitar" with triple platinum sales, in 2000 "Espresso Guitar Two" also reached platinum sales. Previously his 1980 album "Sahara" launched his jazz fusion style with standout track "Lodestone" becoming legendary. His fifth album was released in 2004 through SonyBMG (NZ), Martin's musical style on this album is acoustic with jazz, latin and blues influences, but melody is the main theme here, almost crossing into melodic new age music when on acoustic guitar. Martin Winch has taught jazz guitar at Auckland University, travelled the world playing jazz fusion and working with various high profile performers.
