En Derin was born (Derin Cage) on November 11, 1989, in Northern Cyprus. He is the son of Turkish para-legal poet Emine Cage, and Egyptian Father Cavit Cage, CEO of the Sonsuz Sifa (Infinite Healing) Corporation. En Derin expressed that he was comfortable with his biracial heritage because he felt he was able to "relate to different cultures".
Although he lacked trendy clothing, he was one of the most popular kids in his school because of his sense of humour, superior music skills, and ability to mix in with all crowds. Throughout his childhood, Derin was sent to music classes by his parents. He later attended an E2E Music Business Course with DV8 Training UK; graduating at 16. Then, he attended Collage Arts (a Commercial Music Programme). Derin was then accepted to Middlesex University, he also did voluntary work with Reggie Styles & Redz at Sony/BMG Records and was creating music at the same time; he managed to juggle all three balls at once, to pursue a successful musical career.

He is the son of Turkish paralegal, part-time poet Emine Cage, and Cypriot/Egyptian Father Cavit Cage, Chairman, President and CEO of the Sonsuz Sifa (Infinite Healing) Corporation. En Derin expressed that he was comfortable with his biracial heritage because he felt he was able to "relate to different cultures".
