Singer/Songwriter Emily Roberts just finished recording an outstanding 5 song EP, produced by Curb Records recording artist Jamie Slocum. The EP includes a fresh new cover of the O'Kane's hit song, "I Can't Stop My Heart From Loving You", as well as four original songs that are genuine snapshots of real life moments. "Everyone who has heard this new project loves it!" Emily says. She is currently scheduling performance dates.

A Little About Emily

I have been singing and writing songs for a long time. I remember singing little songs to myself as a very small child. I was nine the first time I wrote a song on paper. My parents asked me to sing it for them often enough that my younger brother learned it and began to sing it himself. I, being nine, was upset that someone else was singing MY song. My mother explained to me that Shawn Cassidy loved it when people sang his songs, and that I should take it as a compliment. I'm not sure how many people are singing Shawn Cassidy's songs today, but I imagine that he would agree with me when I say that it is such a blessing to be able to encourage others with songs.
In my life, I have sung on all sides of the United States and overseas, and have recorded now two cd's and an EP, which you can hear right here on this site. I am so excited about this latest recording! The musicians who played on these songs are among the most talented in our country. Our recording engineer and producer were really amazing, too! Jamie Slocum has such a gift for bringing out the best in a song. I hope you enjoy the songs as much as I have enjoyed making them!
