Dudley spent the early 1970s' working in Denmark and felt that this was a very prolific period of his musical growth. On nearing the end of a Distant-Learning Program of Composition and Arrangement from The Berklee College of Music, he found himself amongst Pianist Kenny Drew, Saxophonist Dexter Gordon, Orchestral Conductor Ray Pitts, and Professor Bent Larson from the Danish Conservatoire of Music.
