We are a power duo from Miami Beach with drummer Nicolas Espinosa and inger/guitar player Sean Wouters. Were just two energetic teenagers with lot's of spirit, and dedication to what we love.

Whats up with the Deaf Poets

We're The Deaf Poets and we're a two man group from Miami beach, Florida. Our band consists of drummer, Nicolas Espinosa and lead singer and guitarist, Sean Wouters. We're two energetic guys with a lot of spirit, passion and dedication to our music. We've been together since July '09 and in a matter of 3 months have been successful in creating an EP(Illustrious Punks Of Progress), a music video, band tees made by yours truly and have played many awesome shows. Until now we have written 10 originals and play 3 covers. Everyday we get more and more competition with such mainstream bands everywhere you look but we believe that indie music is making a comeback. Following closely the footsteps of our musical idols, Dan Auerbach from The Black Keys, and Jack White from The White Stripes we bring a combination of rhythm and blues: something that has been neglected lately. We also combine forms of punk, folk, and loud and eccentric old school rock and roll with catchy lyrics. So in other words, we're pretty old school, and today most would refer to us as new age vintage. Our songs aren't your usual songs about a girl, instead they are about the begining of a new day, and just life in general. I think we can both agree on the fact that it's gonna take time, sacrifice, and whatever we have saved to make an impact on this broken social scene we call the music industry. But then again, who cares. We're having fun doing what we love. We're just in it for the ride.
