"A Little More Fight" is the debut release from Nashville pianist & singer Danny Mitchell. The 2009 EP is a blend of fresh musical ideas, smart lyrics, and catchy hooks: a true sonic definition of Mitchell's personality as an artist and a young man. His music calls to aural memory names like Bruce Hornsby, Norah Jones, and Jamie Cullum. Like these artists, Mitchell incorporates elements of jazz styles while maintaining all the accessibility of mainstream pop music.

Mitchell's musical arsenal goes deeper than just this singer-songwriter facade. He earned a bachelor's degree in jazz piano and composition - the compositions ranging from small chamber pieces to full symphonic works. His "Dawning of a Soul" was performed by the National Wind Ensemble in New York City's Carnegie Hall in 2005. Mitchell also works as an arranger, including writing horn charts for his own live shows.

Before moving to Nashville, Mitchell wore out the highways in his home state of Wisconsin, driving from city to city performing as a solo artist. Not satisfied with one state out of fifty, he began to beat paths throughout the midwest, and eventually traveled coast to coast in an attempt to share his music with anyone and everyone who would listen. His journeys have included appearances at Hollywood's Hotel Cafe, Atlanta's Eddie's Attic, Nashville's 3rd & Lindsley, and most recently, Chicago's House of Blues.

A college-educated, real world-tested artist and musician, Danny Mitchell has the tools and the passion - the "fight", if you will - to succeed in today's world of music.
