Dan Caravetta was born in Easton, Pennsylvania - a town responsible for producing both a Heavyweight Boxing Champion & a famous crayon company, so it does seem a fitting birthplace for a musician who evokes a powerful array of emotions & creates colorful imagery with his diverse style of instrumental music. Dan's music will do more than just cause a foot to tap or a head to sway - it may cause the listener to feel romantic, depressed, angry, or possibly picture a prison riot (hopefully in that order).

His music has been heard on several networks including Bravo (The Kathy Griffin Show), Inspirational Network, ABC Family, Trinity Broadcasting, & Outdoor Life Network. His film work includes the score of the internationally screened short film "The Cure" by Ryan Jafri - winner of the Screencraft Award & Best Dramatic Short at The 2006 New York Int'l Independent Film & Video Festival. He also had music included in the Emmy Award winning PBS documentary "Beyond the Medal of Honor."

Caravetta Bio

Dan Caravetta was born in Easton, Pennsylvania - a town responsible for producing both a Heavyweight Boxing Champion and a famous crayon company, so it does seem a fitting birthplace for a musician who evokes powerful emotions and creates colorful imagery with his diverse style of instrumental music. The music Dan creates will do more than just cause a foot to tap or a head to sway - it may cause the listener to feel romantic, depressed, angry, or possibly picture a prison riot (hopefully not in that order).

His music has been heard in radio commercials in large markets as well as on several TV networks including Bravo (The Kathy Griffin Show), ABC Family, Trinity Broadcasting, The Inspirational Network, Versus, The Outdoor Life Network, and PBS. His film work includes placement in the short film Mixers (Brookwood Films, 2003; screened at the Big Bear Film Festival & the New Hampshire Film Expo) and the score of the internationally screened short film The Cure by Jafri Pictures (written and directed by Ryan Jafri) - winner of the Screencraft Award (Los Angeles screening) and Best Dramatic Short (New York screening) at the 2006 New York International Independent Film and Video Festival. He also had music placed in the Emmy Award winning PBS documentary Beyond the Medal of Honor as well as Telemundo's 2007 miniseries Dame Chocolate.

As producer and performer his credits include the 21-song companion CD to the book Spiritual Journeys in Prayer and Song by Rev. Peter Unger, published by Science & Humanities Press, 2006. Several of Dan's songs were selected for the video game Are You All That? (DVD Interactive, 2004).
