Up to now, the only American Gillis I was aware of was Uncle Lester, better known as Babyface Nelson!

Please direct me to some of your music, I'd like to give it a listen. We have a sight with some Beatle influence music plus some more country. check it out. gilliesdaddy.com What part of the country are you in?

Alan Gillis (Gulliver) posted over 30 days ago

Hi, I was joking about the Uncle bit. I'm in the far North of England (nice and cold) here!
If you're asking me for recommendations, then I have to say that I'm the worst judge of my own songs. Two of the most successful as far as Broadjam is concerned are 'Photographs, Mem'ries and Ruby Red Wine' and 'Perpetual E-motion'. If you want Beatles influence, then take a listen to 'Heaven' and 'Traffic Jam Blues'.
Just one click on my face and you're there - hope you like something.

You can't beat your influences, Floyd & Weather Report. Like your style. We're all an amalgam of the many things we've listened to in our lives.
You've been listening to some good stuff & created your own style along the way. That's the goal, congrats>

Really well done 3 days out of Texas....sounds like Merle singing... and the feel of Bob Wills I think it should be a hit on country radio....Why not?
