Hey Andy,

Thanks for the kind review of the solo, instrumental version of my song, "The Spirits Of Christmas". It is the backing track to the song with lyrics.....which you can hear at my site at Broadjam.

Happy Holidays!

Hi Andy, I took a listen to several of your tunes, and I love how you make a lot of world music and infuse it with a smooth jazz or sort of a relaxing feel. DeDe :)

Many thanks for the 5-star rating/ playlist additions. That's interesting what you say about my music - I think that's because I listen to some diverse kinds of music in my spare time, such as Middle Eastern, Classical, Latin, Jazz and Celtic! I never know how my productions are going to sound by the end, because I usually tend to bring one or more of these influences into my productions. Hopefully, this way I end up with an original or unique sounding track.

I've listened to some more of your tracks, I especially like "Blame it on the Summertime", a really nice song!

Hey there Andy thanks for your kind review of So In Love. Yes it's a Cole Porter Classic, but I re-arranged it to a Latin Brazilian Samba with a jazzy feel. I'm so glad you liked it. I will listen to a few of yours and let you know what my thoughts are, best to you! DeDe :)

Andy, thanks for the review of "PHD". I pretty much agree with your constructive comments. That tune was written in 1984 and the recording was done almost exclusively on an old Roland XP-80 in 1998. Originally I performed the tune with a jazz quartet; guitar , bass, piano & drums and I did the vocals. Thought it would be fun to hear it as a more filled out piece so, when I got the Roland, I threw this together as more of an experiment, never really tried to make it a finished production. It's been hanging around in this form for 18/19 years, probably time to do it right.....

Again, appreciate you listening and providing the input.

Bill

Hi, thanks so much for the great review of my track "Temple of the sun", and your amazing comments. Just listened to 3 of your songs and have to say that I'm very impressed with the quality of your songs, in fact you're almost too good for Broadjam! You have great melodies, arrangements and productions. In particular I think "Dominoes" sounds like a big hit! Keep up the great work.

Andy, all I can say is ... you have excellent taste in music :) Not sure I'm `too good for BJ' - there is some amazing talent on here! For example, check out Joey Harcher and Brook McWhorter, and Stan Flowers. In fact a lot of the country singers on here are phenomenal! I'm so glad you liked Dominoes... I see that as a subtle song that some people just don't `get' - I receive side a variety of feedback on that song. Some people just don't understand the point of the lyrics or feel there isn't enough `payoff' in the song, whereas other people just fall completely in love with it on first listen!!! Personally, Dominoes and Life is Wonderful are my favourite songs of all time (that I've written)

Hi Andy - thanks for the nice review of "The Bestest I Ever Had". You were right in that it's a live performance, and was actually taken from a TV show I performed on with a blues band back in 2002, hence the production was not top notch. I appreciate that you saw it for what it was - best to you!

Hi Chris, many thanks for reviewing "The Polkageist" and especially for the 5-star rating. Yes, I originally wrote this in the Polka genre, but I wanted to give it a more edgy contemporary feel, so that's why you hear the Polka-Pop crossover sound. Thanks again,
Andy

Andy. Thank you very much for your review of 'All of This and More'. Your comments are very useful and fair. Unfortunately the hard drive in the studio failed before the song was completed. So what you've heard is in effect a rough mix. However I've kept it on Broadjam for submission to listings wanting generic country songs rather than the finished article. Regards. David

Hi Dave, thanks for the great review of my track "Ocean Sunrise"! Just listened to your track "Generations", and have to agree with Cyndi, it is an outstanding production.

Hey Andy, Yeah I thought it might be your song as I was reviewing it because of the high standard. I love getting your songs because I really do enjoy giving good scores although I rarely issue a perfect score. Today you were the exception to that trend. I'm so glad you liked my song, thanks for the nice complement. Looking forward to your next piece of ear candy.

Hi Annie, thanks for your review of my track "Country Fun". It's the only Country track I've ever arranged and produced, so glad that you and your son liked it. It was actually just me and a collection of VST instruments. And what a coincidence that I get one of your songs to review on the same day, which was one of the best songs I've heard on Broadjam for quite a while!
Keep up the great work.

Hi Andy!

I am so glad to have "met" you. I will be streaming and probably purchasing "Country Fun" I have to admit to being surprised that a "Brit" (meant in a fond way) was behind that awesome country song! I guess I think that only Americans like country. I know that is silly. How cool that you got one of my songs to review. Was it a country song or one of my children's songs? Anyway, looking forward to following your work. Where in UK are you? I am hoping to come over to London after Christmas if we can find the money. I still have so much to do there, even though we have been twice. My son would like to move there! Please keep in touch and I will check in on you now and then. Thanks for the compliments too. I guess we are now in the "Mutual Admiration Society!" :) Cheers, Annie www.annielynn.net

Hi Alice, thanks for the two reviews of my tracks "Mountain Ascent" and "Eid al-Adha". I originally wrote "Mountain Ascent" as a solo piano piece. I added the Earthy sound of the Chinese Erhu to give the piece a bit more atmosphere to the recording. Thanks for your comments.

Hey Andy,

Thanks for the review of the instrumental version of my song, "I Know Who You Are", currently in the Top Ten Jazz-Lounge BJ Chart. This version is a lift from the version that has vocals and lyrics. If you like this, You'd probably like the full version. I appreciate the comment about the harmonica NOT being there throughout the instrumental version. I should go in and fix that. I ALWAYS do an instrumental version to submit to TV/Film OPPS at BJ.

Anyway, thanks for the nice review and I hope the nasty Polar Vortex is not surrounding you with cold weather like it is here. Sub-zero is NOT fun!

Best,

Chet Nichols

Hi Chet, just had a listen to the vocalised version of that song. Sounds great, an especially good job on the vocal !

And far from it being cold here - Winter never arrived this season in the UK. Been mild and wet all the way with virtually no frost or snow. Hope you soon thaw out there!

A Fool for Ya is a tune whose structure is more lyrical than melodic...sort of Leonard Cohen-lke.
I gave your review all 5s because you hit on every nuance I proposed. CHEERS!!!
