Bio
Hoover and Neff first collaborated in The Dick Prall Band based out of Iowa City, IA in the mid-90's. Together, they laid down some serious ground-breaking tracks and live jams that propelled new-comer Prall to unexpected popularity. After exiting Prall, the duo continued to hang out . Neff was the first choice for Hoover's first "solo effort" album, Circle of Fiends.
The tracks were recorded in Hoover's basement studio at a leisurely pace. After demoing the songs, Bill would leave Brook to complete the over-dubs. Bill would offer feedback and the adjustments in arrangements were made until satisfactory results were acheived. Fans of guitar technology might enjoy a technical note that many of the guitar tracks were recorded with vintage Fender, Marshall and Vox amps cranked up to 10. Brook also played his cool 50's 60's Gibson, Fender and Gretsch guitars. No live dates are scheduled yet, but Circle of Fiends plans to add a bass player and guitarist and play a few concerts in the Iowa City/Cedar Rapids region in 2002.
