brijawi is an audio alchemist, transmuting the sulphuric and mercurial components of sound to create lapis sonica. With his ever-expanding and faithful golem, new elements have been produced.

The hermetic life of brijawi began in the mid-eighties as Aiode beckoned and he picked up the saxophone. He was an acolyte (band nerd) in high school, taking a strong interest in jazz. After high school, brijawi was initiated into the Order of MIDI where he learned to program synths and write fat beats on drum machines.

Throughout the nineties, brijawi participated in Dionysian reverie in California and the Midwest as the Cult of the 303 swept the underworld and concrete glens were used for a night by digital pagans to receive the messages of turntable shamans. The sounds of techno, house and d’n’b resonated with brijawi and inspired him to pursue his own Work.
