Short Biography

Brett Boardman was born on March 11, 1981 into a family that was surrounded with music. Brett was introduced to music performance at a young age, playing drums at seven years old, piano at age eleven, and guitar and bass guitar at age thirteen.

Composing became an interest in middle school and a full-time hobby in high school. Participating in the music program and performing in local bands was a great outlet for Brett's musical ideas.

He later went on to study at the University of Rhode Island, where he received a Bachelor's degree in Music Education with percussion as his primary instrument. In his free time, he performed with various live bands including "Funk Nugget", "Suspect Change" and "Ghost" and gave private guitar and drum lessons.

Brett currently focuses on recording original compositions in his home-based recording studio in South County, Rhode Island. He has become proficient in computer-based recording and takes great pride in the quality and professionalism of his work. He has been considered a perfectionist by colleagues, professors, and band mates. His easy-going nature makes him enjoyable to work with and he is always punctual, flexible and dedicated to his work. Brett has worked with a diverse range of musical genres and is open-minded to take on any kind of project. His goal is to compose for television and film in the near future.
