The Midnight Shakedown was formed in 2005 by guitarist Billy Thompson, drummer Mike Skillings and bassit Matt Wilkinson just south of Boston, MA. The three musicians bonded over their love of classic rock and performing live. Soon the band was playing to packed houses in southeastern MA, and word of their electrifying live shows had spread like wildfire. The band has been known to cover entire albums by other artists, (The Who's "Tommy" and Led Zeppelin II) and their shows have become legendary for wild stage antics and stunning musicianship. The band recorded it's debut CD in early fall 2006, and released it to a sold-out crowd at a historic ballroom in southeastern MA. The album has already gained rave reviews as the bands sound-a mix of classic and modern rock and roll-continues to grow. One local magazine called the Midnight Shakedown, "Boston's next big thing" The band has plans to tour New England as well as travel south to NYC and beyond.
