Born Phillip Walton Jr., he grew up on the Southside of Chicago, and like most of his childhood counterparts, was raised in a one-parent home. Having personal ties in both the Englewood and Chicago Lawn areas, he represents the mass of young men and boys destined to make their way on the streets of Chicago. His passion for rap, both writing and performing, started at the age 12. Growing up on the Southside of Chicago gave him enormous insight into the world of the inner city, which he captures so brilliantly in lyric. Bigg Phill hooked up with childhood friend, Antonio Street, a.k.a. Tizone, of BassTone Entertainment. His days and nights were spent juggling his rap career and barbering. After four years, and endless recordings, a collection of songs were compiled to create, the “Refusin’ Ta Die Unknown” album.

"Bigg" does not just define his name, it's everything that defines him.

Ethics, determination, charm, image.

Creating from his own deeply personal history, he has seen the demands of a South Side of Chicago childhood, and the rewards that disciplined Military training ensures.

"He is talent personified, and he's armed with the “Baddest” beats and music around", says his childhood friend & producer, Tizone. "Be prepared to buy a true one of a kind".
