I started playing music at about 12 years old, just messing around with a cheap keyboard. Then I started writing and singing songs, learned trumpet and found the urge to rap my poetry instead of just reading it. I played trumpet in school bands from 6th grade until I switched to tuba in 11th grade. My Salem High School concert band won the state championship and the marching band came in second. I retired from school band at the top of my game after 11th grade to concentrate on my own music. My interest in rap lead me into a group that had contacts and producers so I did shows with them for about 3 years. We did university events and clubs, opening up for platinum selling national acts like Leaders of the New School and Main Source.

I was done with them after graduation. I decided that only original music for me after then. So I joined a funk band and then taught myself to play guitar. After the band broke up, I started buying recording equipment and more instruments that I learned
