Johnny D started his musical journey at the age of 7 after watching the Beatles on the Ed Sullivan show. Like many kids at that time he was swept away by the shear excitement of the Beatles and their music. John formed his first band at the age of 16 and was forced to pick up the bass guitar because there were so many drummers. Over the next 10 years John studied and performed with Berklee alumnus John Donelan in recording studios and on television. While in Donelans band he met Keyboard/Composer John Marsden. They are still working together some 25 years later. Johnny D has been busy writng and recording songs in all genres. Sax legend Charlie DeChant from Hall & Oates and guitarist Larry Hoppen from the band Orleans can be heard on most of his material as well as superb guitarist Tommy Calton all out of the Orlando area.

It's not easy swimming through the tide of the music industry today. It seems that peoples attention spans are shorter than ever and being heard is a task in itself. I strive for perfection in an imperfect world. Music heals my soul and gives me the inspiration to continue on in everyday life and love. I thank God for that much. I do hope you can take the time to listen and appreciate the work, effort, heart and soul that I spill into these songs. Thanks, JD

Johnny ... thanks for the review on Step On It ... much appreciated. Interesting comment on the "real" drummer. He'd love to hear he's not!!! Listened again after your review and I think your comments result from a combination of using too much compression (my fault) combined with the other percussion I used in addition to the kit. Good ear pal. Particularly appreciate the input from another drummer (I played from the late 50s into the mid 70s). Keep the good stuff comin'.
