Classically trained concert pianist and film composer Amanda Lee Falkenberg began playing the piano at 2 ½ years of age. Her composing began out of a love of classical ballet where she began sketching piano compositions inspired by the ballet classes she accompanied. Within 2 years, she had composed over 120 piano compositions that were recorded onto 3 full-length Ballet CDs called 'Moving with Music'. This series is distributed all over the world including the Royal Opera House in London.

From 2001, Falkenberg was a full-time orchestral and rehearsal pianist with the prestigious Australian Ballet Company as well as repetiteur with numerous Australian Opera companies under distinguished conductors such as Richard Bonynge during her career in Australia.

In 2003 Falkenberg received an orchestral commission to compose a 30-minute ballet 'Edge of the World'. This premiered at the Barossa International Music Festival with Antony Walker conducting, Leigh Warren's Dancers and herself at piano. 'Edge of the World' received glowing reviews in the local and national press.

After re-locating to Dubai to establish her Film and TV Company in 2005 with her husband, Falkenberg has composed countless scores for film and TV including the feature film 'Arabian Sands' that was released in the Middle East in 2008. That same year Falkenberg co-wrote the orchestral score for the 13- part animation series 'Ben and Izzy' which features the voice over talents of Mark Hamil and Lucy Lui.

In 2009 she also received double nominations at the Hollywood Music in Media Awards for Best New Composer for her composition 'Forgotten Arabia' and Classical/Orchestral for her underwater film cue 'Coral Garden Dance'. In 2007 Falkenberg received a nomination at the Los Angeles Music Award for her film orchestral composition 'Deep Sea Dreaming'.

Falkenberg's composing style varies from drama, epic, action, romantic, humor, to fantasy, ethereal and whimsical. Deeply committed to the genre of scoring for motion pictures, Falkenberg is thoroughly inspired by the alchemy between music and visual and thrives on collaborations.

"Powerfully dramatic, Falkenberg's Edge of the World was enormously impressive... it bristled with confidence and life in a broadly film music idiom.... the strength and originality of the score was beyond question."

- The Adelaide Review (November 2003)
