The North Code is an up-and-coming Madison five-piece band consisting of Josh Pankratz, Adam Prinsen, Craig Hoffmann, Ben Strohbeen, and Rin Ribble. Fresh off their debut EP, they are the recent winners of the Overture Center's Rising Stars Competition. The Isthmus has described their sound as "somewhere between indie folk and pop Americana," and others have compared them to bands like The Lumineers, The Avett Brothers, and The Head and The Heart.
