'Ride On'

The songs of the 'Doors' and the lyrics of Jim Morrison have made a strong impression on me and my own song writing. I have always been drawn to the darker more obsessive topics that the 'Doors' sang about in songs like 'The End', 'When The Music's Over', 'People Are Strange' and the only cover tune that I do 'Riders On The Storm'. Jim Morrison had a unique way of bringing out in song those things that we lock up in closets out of sight. Those are the things that I also like to write about and 'Taste Of Candy', 'Shadow Of Another Man' and 'It's Not Over' probe these same dark areas of obsession. There will never be another Jim Morrison. 'Ride On' is not just about darker themes. Just as with the band 'Aerosmith', there are also the good time songs like 'Midnight Flight', 'Eyes Of Smoke And Fire' and 'Your Memory Just Won't Set Me Free' that keep the tempo rockin'. In short, there is quite an assortment of themes and stories in 'Ride On' and I hope that you enjoy them all.
