Apollo Architect was founded in 2014 in Toronto, Ontario by Bipin Kumar, a composer, songwriter, producer, audio engineer, student at Metalworks Institute, and is currently the sole member. Because of a debilitating neurological disease that makes him unable to use instruments, he remains as a mostly behind-the-scenes/songwriting presence, currently using session players, which means that eventually will be forming a group of musicians.

While Apollo Architect is a primarily a Rock band, they do not remain in that genre alone, opting to take influences from Minimalist music, Post-Rock, Drone, Industrial, Ambient, Down-tempo, Blues, Jazz, Progressive, Neo-classical music, and Noise.
